The Safe Welcome initiative involves the locking of all exterior doors in elementary schools.
Implementation of this initiative will occur at Hespeler Public School on Monday, June 2nd, 2014. All visitors (parents, vendors, central Board staff) to Hespeler Public School will access the main doors to the school using an intercom system. For parents who have students in before/after school programs, you will use the doors and intercom at the far east end of the school, closest to our kindergarten and primary classes (doors located by the ball diamond). The system will allow students in portables access to the school through key cards.
